Accomplished Sound Designer/Supervisor Reveals Secrets of Soundtrack Production and Previews Latest Film Trailer Music CD from APM Music
TOPLINE: Accomplished sound designer / supervisor Frank Serafine, whose credits include Tron, The Hunt for Red October, and several Star Trek films, will preview clips from the upcoming Film Trailer Music CD developed by Serafine and Associated Production Music (APM) and demonstrate the art and craft of professional soundtrack production at two Apple stores in Los Angeles on September 9 and 10, 2006.
WHAT: Serafine will expose the trade secrets behind the creation of professional soundtracks for TV/Film productions. Demonstration includes how Serafine created all of the film trailer cues for the upcoming Film Trailer Music CD developed by Serafine and Associated Production Music (APM), repair and restoration of dialog tracks, plus other music and sound design tricks of the trade.
WHO: Frank Serafine has been the Sound Designer on several "Star Trek" films, "Tron", "Brainstorm", "Addams Family" "Poltergeist 2", "The Fog"" "Virtuosity" "The Day After" and "Hunt for Red October". As Sound Supervisor, Frank did "Lawnmowerman", "Warlock 2", "Orgazmo", and wide range of other projects. As a musician/producer he has composed over a hundred national commercials and collaborated with Ravi Shankar and George Harrison on the world classic CD "Tana Mana".
